Urban pockets: Railroad St, Strip District / by EpicDevelopments

Ten years ago, the swanky Cork Factory was giaffiti covered.  The Otto Milk condos were just a twinkle in a developers eye.  For Wigle Whiskey it might as well been prohibition still.  Yet today, this little urban pocket neighborhood seems on the rise!  The area is seeing a new 96-unit apartment building going up (see below), a new grocery is replaced the shutter Right By Nature market, and Wigle Whiskey just opened up there distillery for tours, samples, and now featured cocktails!  With a new riverfront development in place to traipse a new streetcar/express bus lane, bike lane, and river front trail along Railroad St, this area should only continue to grow/mature into a cute little neighborhood enclave!  Below are a couple pictures I snapped after shopping at the very cool hacienda furniture shop on Railroad.
