Downtown got another delightful addition with the opening on Stone Neapolitan Pizzeria on the ground level of the new RiverVue apartments (which are also another new exciting addition to the market). The space is simple and fun. A single mural is the only art in the restaurant other than the chalkboard menu. The pizzas which are sized for one, had a delicious thin chewy crust with just the right amount of char from their wood-fired oven. For $9, you are hard pressed to find the level of ingredients and execution in pizza anywhere in the area. I had the Del Cafone (seen below) with rapini and sausage and was a happy camper. If only I was smart enough to add that Peroni with it, I would have been in heaven. With its recent opening (less than a week), one expects a certain learning curve, which was also the case here (every pizza place needs red pepper flakes! UPDATED: THEY HAVE THEM NOW!), but overall, Stone looks like its going to fall in line with Bluebird Kitchen as another terrific addition to the Downtown dining scene! Go check it out!

|Brilliant view from their patio. Hard pressed to find a better one in the city!|
