One Weekend, Two New Restaurants / by EpicDevelopments

Over the weekend I had a chance to pop into two new places and they could not have been more different.  One homey and authentic the other poppy and for the masses; yet both seem like they are going to serve as great spots for their respective neighborhoods.

Social at Bakery Square

Highlights: Big draft list (including $2 can and draft beers for happy hour), nice outdoor seating with fun string lighting and a tv, tasty bar fare with tons of options, Steak n Shake like shoestring fries (yum), darts, and FINALLY a place to get a drink in Bakery Square!  Nicely done and a nice addition.

Casa Reyna

Highlights: All around excellent. Surprisingly terrific design of everything from the logo/menu to the decor (pretty curated authentic decor), cozy setting, as expected incredible chips/salsa and tortillas, authentic flavors (elote dip was DELICIOUS and were the mole tamales), big (16oz) fresh squeezed tasty margaritas, nice little details like a salted Tecate can rim, strong tequila list.  Quite possibly a new go-to.
